Action Marine

I recently bought a used boat from an individual that had work performed on the 50hp Yamaha at Action Marine just prior to my purchase. The 1st time I took it out it ran like new, but the 2nd time out a week later it shut down shortly after getting up on plane. I took it back to Action Marine since they were the last folks to work on it (This was on a Saturday). Chris the shop supervisor was able to pull up the information that had been performed, set up an account for me and transferred the boat information to my account. From there he explained in great detail of what the shop had recently repaired on my motor. In short, water had got into the gasoline tank and canker the system. They had also replaced the water pump. Chris explained that the way the gas tank was installed in this model boat, that it was extremely difficult to get out all the water and possibly solids trapped in there. He took it in and it was ready to pick up in a couple of days. They cleaned the gas system out again, installed a water separator (which it didn't have one), checked over the recently installed water pump, gave me tips and instructions on how to keep the water out of the gas tank as well as draining the water separator when needed. All this and in an outstanding professional timely manner, and they didn't charge me a thing. Wow! Next time I need preventive maintenance or major repairs, Action Marine in Dothan with Chris and his team is my one stop shop.

I owe the service department a big thank you for their assistance. The Service Manager Chris and his parts team are 5/5 stars. They are both personable and professional. Too many places around here treat you like an inconvenience, crazy. I don't normally leave reviews, especially for a dealership but these guys took great care of me. They assisted me with troubleshooting a water pressure sensor that had failed on my boat. The parts team printed out the part numbers, a diagram and ordered everything I needed for the same cost or less than what I could find online. They have a lot of parts in stock which is super convenient. Totally worth it to support a local business. Chris, thanks again for taking care of us!

Bought a new boat here and worked with Greg Schroll. Greg was straight up and communicated all the time. The transaction went smoothly and the boat was prepped nicely. We also asked that a VHF be installed overhead and the mechanic did a great job. The Yamaha boat is awesome and stunning. We are having a very good time running in the Gulf. Come time for the 10 hour service, we took it back and met Allan in service. Allan stayed in communication and the 10hr checkin and various warranty issues were handled. I could not ask for a better experience and we are glad that we took the trip to Dothan from Panama City.
