Got referred to them by another guide, and decided to check them out. Seemed like nice people, but the work and craftsmanship is honestly a joke. Had them put an atlas jackplate on my Ranger 620, and for whatever reason they just couldn’t figure it out. Not just once, but twice. They pulled 14 gauge wire to a 40a disconnect. It quit working the first time due to the wires getting hot, and brought it back to the them to “fix”, and one outing later still doesn’t work. Goes down, but doesn’t go back up. Will not be using them ever again. If any techs from there are reading this I don’t even want you to make it right, and “fix it” (for the third time) just to waste more of my time. That’s how pissed off I am at this place. Another thing I wanted to add upon picking my boat up from them after the warranty work was “done and fixed” I found my boat with the trailer jack not fully locked, and front of my trailer buried in the snow and ice. Completely incompetent, and completely no lack of respect for other people’s stuff. Would not recommend anyone going here if you need anything done on your boat, and you want it done right.

I had a piston seize on a 2019 Evinrude 25 hp I had bought new there. It was out of warranty but Ryan gave me a great deal on a new Mercury 25 hp with a stainless prop under cost which he didn’t need to do. They are selling boats in the 6 figures but they still take care of the little guy.

Excellent experience with Joe and Ryan. You can tell they know what they are doing and take the time to do it right. Had a remote kicker installed on my Lund Pro V and a set of wavepro seat bases. Reasonably priced as well. I will be using them as my primary shop moving forward.

I was extremely impressed with Al’s Specialty Marine and Ryan Kimball in my recent purchase of a used Lund Pro-V 1975. Everything about the boat, motors, and electronics were exactly as advertised and in great condition. Ryan shared with me his in-depth knowledge of every feature of the boat and went out of his way to provide a detailed walk through of the functionality of the trolling motor and electronics. I highly recommend Al’s Specialty Marine and Ryan Kimball to anyone interested in buying a great boat!

Most strongly recommended! I purchased a used boat/motor/trailer set up from them and had a fantastic experience. Herb was patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. I appreciated that he took time to explain the boat operation and details during delivery. It was well worth the trip to Rochester!
