I'd like to thank Flight Academy for sharing mountain-flying knowledge with me, a pilot with 25 years of experience on the East Coast. This was an incredible experience with excellent instruction from Trevvor. I was able to see many 14,000-foot peaks and land at Leadville, the highest airport in North America.

I’ve had an amazing experience training with Lilly Arnes. She’s incredibly patient, easy to learn from, and always makes flying enjoyable. No matter how many questions I had, she took the time to explain everything in a way that made sense and never made me feel rushed. Lilly genuinely cares about her students and wants them to succeed. She helped build my confidence in the airplane and made even the more challenging parts of training feel manageable. Every lesson was productive, but also fun, which made me look forward to flying. I’m really grateful for all of her help and guidance throughout my training. If you’re looking for a flight instructor who is knowledgeable, supportive, and easy to get along with, I highly recommend Lilly!

Aspen Flight Academy is fantastic. I started a few weeks ago with a Discovery Flight with Trevor Frederickson and was immediately gripped by the experience, leading me to continue taking lessons and work towards my private pilot license. Not only is Trevor incredibly knowledgable both about aviation and the local area but the Flight Academy has modern aircraft that are clearly well cared for and maintained leading me to feel extremely comfortable even flying around the mountains of Aspen. 10/10 recommend taking a discovery flight here, if nothing else, it is a truly unique perspective on this beautiful valley and quite a bit of fun!

I would strongly recommend Aspen Flight Academy to anyone interested flying. Trevor was exceptionally knowledgeable, experienced and confident in a challenging flight environment. As a commercial rotorcraft pilot and CFI, I can confidently say that I would trust Trevor and Aspen Flight Academy for training in fixed wing aircraft. There are few places as remarkable as Aspen for learning to fly. I cannot recommend them enough!

Just got my PPL a few weeks ago, Lilly was absolutely amazing! Took me about 6 months to get my PPL from start to finish. Lilly was an amazing instructor, always being super flexible with scheduling, explanation of different topics, and responding to texts or email questions no matter the time, overall super professional! Not only was Lilly amazing, but the planes are very modern and offer some incredible views as well!
