Idk what it is about this airport but flying out is always hell. Delayed flights galore from both here and DEN. We flew United out and I cannot express enough how bad the trip went - it was the worst flying experience we had ever experienced. This is not a total reflection of the airport as much as it is United and the gate agents telling us almost completely opposite information than we were told in Denver. We volunteered to stay back on our flight because they were begging for people to do so, and at the last minute JUST HAPPENED to go up to the gate agent to get more information and she basically flung us out the door to get on the original flight - absolutely zero communication beforehand - we just so happened to walk up at the right time. We did not get rebooked on our next flight even though they told us they had, our bags were held even though we were promised they’d be there. It was a literal joke on how we were treated there.

Airport is small. Pretty easy, no big deal especially if winds are not crazy. The staff that takes care of the food and bar are just rude. They rolled their eyes at me when asking a simple question and saw them on their phones and just sitting in chairs. I get the airport isn’t busy but they seemed like they didn’t care and were annoyed easily. Maybe when you expand you should get staff that gives a shit

I love this airport. It’s one of the best to fly out of because it’s so small. The parking lot is right next to the terminals. There is almost never a wait to get through security. The planes are smaller and regional so they create less noise pollution. The views when walking on to the plane and flying out of the airport are spectacular. You can also very easily coordinate a driver to pick you up from the airport. Baggage claims are easy to navigate. Very well organized location. That said, be sure to check your flight status in inclement weather, as many flights are either cancelled, rerouted, or delayed during periods of heavy snowfall. This is a very difficult airport for planes to fly in and out of.

Not me thinking I was going to have a bougie airport experience because it's Aspen! Boy, was I wrong. This airport is so incredibly dysfunctional, and its tiny size does not help its cause. I live in a town with a small airport and have always loved small airports, but I think this one's the exception. From the car drop-off and the diminutive parking spots, to the lack of food options inside (there are like two, and they are horrible), to the lengthy TSA lines where the agents didn't even care and kept mixing both lines together (TSA Pre gets you absolutely nothing here), to the rude airport staff, looking at you, American Airlines. A letdown in every regard. Pros? You get to see some fancy private jets and fly over beautiful Aspen on your way out.

Compact airport ever seen in my life. There are many colourful flowers in summer and a monument of gondola outside the airport. You can take a taxi as soon as get out the airport from the departure door and it was very convenient. Including gratuities we paid $60 to snowmass but turned out there are FREE public bus.On our way back home, the flight was delayed by storm and it seems that it's very easy to be affected by the weather as it's surrounded by mountains.
