Alex at Atara Marine in Evergreen does excellent work at a very reasonable price. He goes above and beyond - like 2 weeks ago when I was having difficulties with my outboard shift & throttle controls and I had a planned fishing trip that evening for the weekend. He stayed until 7:30 on a Friday evening after a full day’s work. He fixed the problem in about 5 minutes and he also checked my lower unit oil which needed changing. Alex is a great guy and easy to get along with . And because of his dedication to service we made it to our campsite that night. He got me back on the water in a pinch and my engine runs like a top and shifts perfectly now. Alex is a straight shooter who can be trusted to do excellent work without over-charging. I took mine to him but he also does mobile engine service. You won’t regret using Alex at Atara Marine for all your marine engine needs!

I had Alex take my boat to have a problem with oil in the water. He took my boat along with a large payment up front and kept the boat for three months. After some time I'm asking when can I get my boat back and all he kept giving me were excuses. It was three months later when I insisted that he bring my boat back as I was going to be with out of state friends. He finally brought the boat back and said he had to do a lot more work on the engine to stop the water getting in the oil. He then wanted another $2500.00 before he would return the boat. Well today I called him several time and he will not return my call. I still have the same problem so I would not recommend this person. I,m at present taking legal action to redeem my money back

Alex is amazing! I have had three engine replacements which all failed. Alex was the first mechanic who got it right! He even came to the lake for free to adjust it

Alex worked on my 1926 Chris craft he found the transmission leak, replaced the carburetor and fixed the electrical problems. All done in a timely matter at a reasonable price. I am a director of the antique and classic boat society for 25 years and would recommend him to anyone with boat problems.

Alex has done an amazing job with our surf boat. We have taken it to his shop in Evergreen for service as well as utilized his mobile option. He is knowledgeable and super easy to work with. Such a nice and personable alternative to the busy boat dealerships. We definitely recommend his services!
