⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Basin Marine in Newport Beach is an absolutely spectacular shipyard. Derek, Todd, Augie, and the entire team are true professionals, and every experience with them has been smooth, organized, and stress-free. No matter what issue comes up, they always have the right answer, the right solution, and the right equipment to get the job done. From haul-outs and launches to repairs, touch-ups, remodels, and general shipyard support, these guys really know what they’re doing. You can tell they’ve built great systems and have an incredible amount of experience. I recently had a brand-new boat shipped in from Florida, and the team at Basin Marine made a huge operation look effortless. My trucker arrived late from the East Coast, and Derek graciously allowed him to park safely in front of the gate overnight. The next morning, the crew came right out, picked the boat up off the trailer, and dropped it into the water like it was nothing. The entire launch process was seamless and professional from start to finish. If you’re looking for an excellent shipyard in Newport Harbor/Newport Beach, I highly recommend Basin Marine. We took our boat in for a haul-out inspection(sellers). The service was fast—we got in, and they immediately lifted the boat. The boat looked great. After surveying the boat, it was immediately put back in the water. Great service, thank you.

Love these guys. Dave and his son Derek go out of their way to take care of you. We have been doing business with them for over 32 years and they have been enjoyable and the work is exemplary. They have some of the best employees in the boat business. Lisa & Augie in the office are superstars and Rob out in the yard has always been friendly and extremely helpful. These guys just make it fun to spend money on your boat.

The best yard in Southern CA. Really great work and they can do most anything. Derek and team are super nice to work with and they’re honest and fair. I only bring our boat to Basin. Had quite a bit of work done each of the last 3 years and super happy with the result each time. Great paint and detail work as well (thank you Velentin).
