Just passed my private checkride here. I went into it nervous obviously but felt very prepared once the ball was rolling. The fleet is well maintained and all have nice, modern avionics. Aircraft availability was never an issue. The instructors and staff all go the extra mile. It was really helpful to go into the maintenance shop one evening and talk to the mechanics and instructors about how certain instruments and subassemblies actually function by taking apart old ones. I look forward to picking up additional ratings and endorsements here. Shoutout to my main instructor Phil Brown, he really knows his stuff!

Yesterday Bend Aircraft mechanics certified my Cessna A185F altitude reporting system. I am very impressed with the care, expertise and safety that the technician and mechanics displayed. From pushing the plane in to the hangar, gently handling the plane, safety protocols followed. The shop was clean. Bright lights illuminated the work space. The technician was proficient and very knowledgable. I made the appointment just a week before, short notice! Very nice. It is wonderful to have this competent service available in central Oregon. Great shop and flight school. Did my PPL with them a few years back, and I really appreciated the experience. I was able to get it done in a couple months because of a great instructor and flight availability. Since then, they have helped with parts/maintenance on short notice, and have been fair with pricing. Would recommend.

Did a short sightseeing flight with Bend Aircraft and it was fun. Lucas was our pilot, he was great. Also had some dealings with Zach who was great as well - very understanding when we had an unexpected change to our plans.

BAM is the place to go in Bend if you are looking for quality private flight instruction or expert small aircraft maintenance. All of my experience and interaction with them has been top notch. After purchasing a Comanche 250, my insurance company required that I complete a transition to a complex, high-performance aircraft, including 20 hours of dual flight instruction. Josh was great and provided high quality flight instruction and was very flexible with scheduling. My Comanche didn't want to cooperate always during the transition training. Every time there was an issue from a fouled plug, to problems with the fuel bladders, Bobby and his crew were on it right away, getting the plane airworthy in short order. I owe a big debt of gratitude to them for all their help during this transition.
