Swung by Carlsbad Jet Center to check out the operation run by my friends Julia and Josh, who also operate Sonoma Jet Center, their sister operation. You can feel the same level of values: safety, teamwork, innovation, professionalism and hospitality here in Carlsbad. 😊 I also stopped in hoping to pick up an aeronautical sectional chart of San Diego Airspace. The terminal is beautiful—about 12,000 square feet—and has a relaxed Southern California vibe that makes it one of the nicest FBO spaces around. Fun aviation fact I learned: Carlsbad’s airport, McClellan–Palomar Airport, is one of the busiest single-runway airports in the U.S. ✈️ Great stop whether you’re flying in, meeting pilots, or just love aviation.

As an AOG mechanic and pilot, I’ve worked with FBOs everywhere, and Carlsbad Jet Center truly stands out. During an after-hours event, their team went above and beyond to get us access and support us without hesitation. Bella and the line crew were outstanding, responsive, professional, and a true example of great line service. The front desk staff were just as friendly and helpful. Save yourself the headache and skip the other FBOs and go straight to Carlsbad Jet Center for 5 star service.

This review is well overdue and for that I apologize. I had the pleasure of meeting Estrella Flores the Hospitality Manager who helped me with a car rental issue that Hertz had badly screwed up. Not only did Estrella take the laboring oar by contacting Hertz herself and forcing them to admit to their mistaken handling of my rental, but she then went the extra mile and had me transported to the Hertz center in Oceanside (about 20 minutes away). Everyone at the Carlsbad Jet Center was kind, courteous and very professional. It is the only FBO I will be using in the area in the future. Thank You Team!

A professional, knowledgeable, and friendly staff are there to greet you upon your arrivals and departures. The line teams work like a NASCAR Pit Crew, and the FBO, terminal, lobby, and hangers have all been recently upgraded and refurbished. You will not be disappointed.

Great family owned FBO, awesome first impression after a long day of flying. But be warned if you own a piston plane they will park you a long way from the FBO and they will not move the plane forward for your departure.
