I was definitely stomping with the big dogs last weekend with coffee, donuts and unique sports cars and supercars. This was the second time being around some of the coolest and fastest cars in the world. Costing in the range of $100,000 up to $1.5 million or more. And of course I blended right in with the pack.

I have been working from Crown Customs for several years. They do all of my PPF treatments and recently did K&W lowering springs, a Soul Performance Exhaust and custom wheels for my 992.2 Targa GTS. Homar, Lirim and the team are amazing. Prior to doing any modifications on my new GTS, Homar and Lirim did a ton of research to make sure it was compatible with my model, that has a first time T Hybrid engine. I was most surprised by their custom light weight wheels. I had them create custom 992.2 GTS wheels with a fitment and custom offset for my GTS. I highly recommend them for everything. Great execution and thorough follow up. They are incredibly precise and perfectionists.

Crown Customs & Coatings was highly recommended from a friend. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and non judgmental of any questions asked, they were truly there to help and offer advice. I had my new tires dropped shipped to their location and once the arrived, I was able to get an appointment within a few days. They completed Tire Swap: Vehicle/Wheel Description: OEM Corvette Wheels (M/B New Tires) and Return Tire Dismounted from the Wheel. Just wish they would have cleaned the rims inside and out to remove brake dust/dirt. Even if offered at an additional cost, those little details go a long way.

I had previously glazed CCC for a job that was done on my Corvette wheels. That job made me believe that I could again trust their service as opposed to any other vendor in the area. The most unfortunate thing isn't even the result, but rather how the whole process before and after was completely fumbled. When I dropped off my wheel in late May, with an included wheel as a "sample" to match, I was told it would take 10 days. Even if I'm only counting "business days" it still took almost 24 business days to complete. During this time I started calling in mid June to see when my wheel was ready. Numerous times I was told I would receive progress pictures and yet I never did until the day I was set to pick it up in late June. If the poor communication was so bad then surely CCC was hard at work getting the wheel to an acceptable match. CCC told me that it would be in the ballpark, however the result isn't even playing the same sport in the same state. I was amicable to the result being a little darker or a little lighter. I accepted that it would be a 10 footer. Instead what I received was a 10 mile-r. How CCC presented this wheel to me as their best last and final is beyond disappointment. In a vacuum it's not that the color is bad, it's that it is so far from close that it's a constant reminder of this situation. When I picked up the wheel, it was reiterated that "you were told it couldn't be matched", the onus was entirely on me, almost zero responsibility was taken by CCC to remedy the result. I recall when I dropped off the wheel in late May that we narrowed down to at least 4 swatchs for what to match to, and trust carried the rest of the deal that the most appropriate one would be picked by the expert. We painstakingly went through numerous swatch and I discarded numerous choices that were "too yellow" or "too bronze". Again, I had accepted it wouldn't be a perfect match. I believe that my insistance to follow up with the delays lead CCC to use an "off the s

If you are looking for quality wheel powder coating I highly recommend. Very easy and transparent process. The employees help you narrow down to the color choices you are looking for and recommend some colors and finishes if you are unsure. Please take into consideration you are getting quality color change and finish therefore total cost will be slightly higher and may take more time due to high customer volume especially during busy season. I dropped off on a Saturday waited about week and my wheels were ready for pickup. Genuinely loved how the wheels came out much better than I thought they would look but you do end up getting what you pay for! Very clean and professional environment. Would definitely bring another set of wheels for powder coat.
