  Should be renamed "H*lls Marine" Dropped our boat off at Hales for a fuel pump replacement. We didn't bring the cover, completely forgot and we lived 2 hours away from the shop. They reassured us that they would pull it into the covered shop and begin working on it right away so there was no need for the cover. We were quoted $450 for the fuel pump replacement. A week goes by with no update, so we call the shop. The person we spoke with had no idea who we were, didn't know our boat was on site and never ordered a fuel pump for it. Another week goes by and we call again. Same man answers and states the fuel pump is on its way and it would be in next week. Week 3 comes along and we call again, the same man answers and says the fuel pump was delivered, they are getting ready to install it. Sounds great right? Wrong. Week 4-6 were the same run around of "we haven't had time, there's only one of us working, they sent the wrong fuel pump, you also need a new key ignition that had to be ordered". After weeks 6, we called and they said we needed to pick it up by closing time that day or else we would be charged storage. Okay fine, we took off work early, drive the 2 hours to the shop, picked up our boat and were rushed out of there before we could take a look at what they did. Final payment was $650. Never replaced the fuel pump, never replaced the ignition, told us there was water in cylinder 3 but didn't have an answer as to why, just let us know there was water in there. The bill was for draining the fuel that was in the boat and adding new fuel. Absolutely ridiculous. Waited 6 weeks to have the fuel drained and replaced and water drained from cylinder 3. When we got the boat home, there were scrape marks, oily boot prints, black dust and grease all over the boat. It took quite a bit of scrubbing to get the oil and grease off. The scrape marks were too deep to buff out. When we called to talk to them about what happened, the man acted like he had no clue who we were and

  Take your boat here if you want it to sit for weeks without any response from anyone. Dropped it off and was told a couple days we’ll have something to you. A week goes by, nothing. Call them for any update, nope haven’t gotten to it yet, couple more days. Next week, call with nope, still haven’t looked at it yet and there’s a couple more boats ahead of you. BTW, called before hand and asked what the price for yearly maintenance was and quoted $650-$700. When I dropped it I asked again and was told $1000. Seriously??? Picked it up and Took it to Props Plus today 5/8 @ 12:00. By 4:00 P.M the SAME day they called me with a quote and said they will have it back to me by Wednesday. Go to Props Plus, they will treat you right unlike these people.
