  Always get a receipt or bill of sale or you will be treated like a thief when you go to pickup your boat DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT trust word of mouth from Jim get the paper trail. I really learned my lesson here. Left our boat for 2 weeks with a leak and Jim said he couldn't help us other than giving us a new plug for our boat and to fix the winch strap that we asked him to fix.Paid him $75 cash and just thought that would be the end of it. We mentioned the boat shakes alot on the trailer and he said leave it here we will take care of it for ya. I asked how much, another $75 cash no problem. Took a look around his warehouse as we sorted through dead birds and rodents to find a set of fenders that looked like they were about to crumble for $15/each. He said he would call when the boat was ready. A week later I decided to call and he stated he was in the hospital and to "come get our boat it's in the way" Sent my husband to pickup the boat and the winch had never been moved so he told my husband to leave it to be fixed and we could come get it Thursday. Husband arrives today and discusses boat with Jim and he and his mechanic begin to tell him he never paid even though we did. I talked to his mechanic and he says "that's weird Jim never forgets the same day about a bill of sale I just write them up and he takes care of them" Then I proceed to talk to Jim on the phone where he states that we didn't pay and that I'm making up amounts and that he will just cut his losses and we can pickup the boat. I tell Jim I am sorry that he was in the hospital but we paid for the services we requested and I mention that I am a small business owner and would never steal from another business if that is what he is implying. He then again says that he will just call it a loss and he isn't going to argue with me. No this is not a loss, we paid for the services that were done and that's that. I told him to call the police if he is accusing us of stealing and my husband told him "I'm sorry b

  I have worked with Jim’s Outboards for several years. Whether they’ve serviced my antique outboard motors or oil injected motors, the service has always been exceptional and timely. Their professionalism, honesty and fairness is expected and they always deliver. I have purchased motors and a trailer from them and have beed pleased with their performance.
