Fast forward a few years, review update. I went back with a 19GTX that I purchased used and the owner walked through the boat with me. Sold me a few things and I didn't have enough cash on me. He floated it to me and I sent him a check when I got home that night. That's unheard of these days. I feel comfortable knowing that they will follow through on helping me maintain this machine. The builders even came out to see a machine they build some five years earlier to see how well it's holding up. Only down side to having a boat that was painted before they started wrapping them is that this thing has no Alodine so the paint isn't sticking well. It's chunking off here and there. Appears it was painted straight over shinny aluminum. -------------------------------------old review------------------------------------------------ Wish I could rate this business one way or the other. Let me explain, A) They don't answer the phone, ever, this is not just my experience, but that of a friend as well. B) They aren't in their office very much. I have tried three times to stop by now and only managed to get a couple of workers that were in the bays, but no one in the office, and the guys building knew little of the boats, not even the sizes. Even waited around with a Comcast tech who had an appointment to do work at the business, thinking they would show up to get the work done at the appointed time - NOPE - Over an hour, never showed up. C) It doesn't appear that their "showroom" is complete and the pictures of boats that I see all over the web for the 152, 16 EXW, and 18 OPW are all interchanged in a misleading way. So, that said, the boats they build are from all accounts, and my experience -- AWESOME FISHING MACHINES -- They are simple, tough, easy to maintain and cheap to run all day fishing. Will I end up buying one, most likely, but they should be thankful it has nothing to do with my experience with this business.

I own a 14 foot Klamath boat that needed some work on the transom. Which i live 5 mins away from the facility in Fairfield.The guy ED wanted me to go to yuba city to get my boat worked on. Are you kidding me? I live 5mins away he said there’s no appointments available and I had to go to yuba city to get it worked on. I’m never buying a Klamath boat again! Due to poor product support at the facility. I figured that I would help out my local businesses by throwing them a bone. I’m not a penny-pincher.

I found thru first-hand experience with Klamath boats my experience could hardly been better.The owner,Ed showed that customers are important. Thanks Ed for your outstanding service
