Kovash Marine

Engine light was flashing on my 1 year old Suzuki outboard bought new from kovash. Week later they called me and said it was all ready to go and they had replaced a cam sensor which was a warranty repair. Besides being 8 hours away, I can only access my cabin by boat. A reliable motor is key to a safe and fun lake experience for me. After driving 8 hours and loading my boat up with supplies to ferry across the lake to the cabin, I placed the motor onto the transom of the boat. While doing so, I heard the sounds of loose bolts rattling around inside the engine cover. I opened it up and found 2 bolts, which held down a piece on the upper part of the motor, laying under the engine. That piece, which housed the starter pull cord, was currently being held in place by one bolt which was loose enough for my finger to tighten. After tightening down all three, I started the motor and guess what……. The check engine light came on the moment I put it drive……big waste of my time and ruined the trip….. talked to Pat, who is in charge of service…. His response to the problem of poor service and quality of work, was to tell me that “I should come down and try and run the place” if I wanted better service. Wow….. well, at least I know the source of the problem now.

Had a problem with my 175 SHO. Kovash helped me in dealing with a motor 1 year out of warranty. Yamaha covered 1/2 of the bill. They didn’t have to cover $1 but they did the right thing and I would recommend and trust Kovash as a dealer. They will get all of my business going forward. Excellent experience here at Kovash. Tracey and Pat really helped me find the perfect motor for my Great Grandpa's pontoon. I settled on a new Suzuki motor. I can't wait to get it in the water.
