Exceptional Craftsmanship, Flexibility, and a Seamless Finish! If you are looking to major upgrade your outdoor space without the massive headache and expense of total demolition, I cannot recommend Liquid Coating Designs enough. We recently hired them to complete a massive 3,000 sq. ft. patio overlay, and the results are absolutely stunning. Our backyard presented a major architectural dilemma; previous owners had added to it over the years, leaving us with three completely different surfaces—stamped concrete, pavers, and brushed concrete. In addition, our 80-foot patio cover was attached to the existing patio foundation. To change the existing surface to tile would have required demolition, which would have destroyed the pillar structure and overhang and would have cost us tens of thousands of dollars in unnecessary structural renovation. Through our contractor, we found Liquid Coating Designs. They provided the ultimate solution: a gorgeous, uniform tile look that completely preserved the structural integrity of our overhang while seamlessly tying the whole yard together. From the start, Charlie was incredibly flexible. Our initial construction phase ran behind, forcing us to postpone our start date a few times, but Charlie accommodated us without any issue, which completely took the stress out of the process. We also visited their showroom in Pleasanton to see the products up close, which was highly beneficial despite their already extensive website. The workmanship and attention to detail were top-notch. The prep work alone took several days, as the crew meticulously covered all cracks and joints with staples to ensure longevity. During the shaping phase, they were incredibly precise, hand-carving the overlay to look exactly like beautiful tile. The coloring phase was where their customer service really shined. They were so patient with us, creating custom mockup boards so we could tweak the colors to our exact liking. Being able to move those boards around th

I first reached out to Liquid Coating Designs (LCD) over 20 years ago. I was looking for a solution to replace the aggregate cement that was all around the pool, back and front walkways. The aggregate was hard on the feet. I considered pavers but that would involve tearing out all the cement all around the pool and the house and the cost was prohibited for me. I also needed to add drainage around the side of the house which would involve building a retaining wall. After several bids for cementing and pavers, I thought there was no way I could afford to do half of what I needed to accomplish, but life has a way of presenting solutions. I found Liquid Coating in one of these Home magazines you get in the mail and was intrigued because their solution did not involve any tear out. After making an appointment with Liquid Coating Designs, Charlie showed up explained the entire process, no pushy sales pitch, just straight honest suggestions and consultation. Soon after his team began work at our house. Orlando managed the team and Gabino was the master painter and both worked in tandem, seamlessly. I was amazed as I watched the guys do their work, they were like artists, taking their time, working on every stone, making sure it blended and fit like a masterpiece. The stones looked so real and gave the pool area and surrounding walkways, a boost of color and an inviting look. The retaining wall they built, matches the current retaining walls around the pool area so well, that you can't tell the difference. These guys are truly masters of their trade. Fast forward to this year. We had major drainage problems under our home which led us to install French drains around the entire house. This involved tearing out most of the front and back yard, the deck, outdoor grill area and some areas around the pool. The construction was a major ordeal and lasted over five months. We were left with open areas where the deck used to be and we were completely overwhelmed around what to

Orlando and Jesús did a great job on my 29 stairs. Removed the older cracked plaster layer and resurfaced the concrete steps. Looks very nice and the crew communicated very well and cleaned up afterwards. Highly recommended.
