I highly recommend Mobile Marine. I made a dockside appointment to fix my gas gauge/sender. It was easy to get an appointment, quote, and repair. I felt the price was fair for the time and work done. The mechanic, Craig, was awesome!

I would NOT recommend this business to anyone! Their office doors are locked during normal business hours even though the mechanics are working in the shop. They do not answer phone calls and will not call you back -- I literally could not talk to anyone even when my boat was in their shop being repaired. Even when you ask them to, they will not call you to tell you your boat is ready to pick up, even on a Friday afternoon -- they will only send you an e-mail. They tried to charge my credit card for the full amount of the repair a few days before the repair was completed - without even telling me the parts had come in. I had a few questions about the repair, but they routinely ignored half of the questions in my e-mail -- and this is the only way they will communicate with you. My part was on back-order in Fall and they would not go out of their way to try to find the part somewhere other than at the Mercury factory. I waited from Fall until July before they got my part in, only after pleading with them to call their Mercury rep. Turns out there was a part sitting on another dealer's shelf 60 miles away the whole time. Then I asked what their warranty is. They quoted the Mercury parts warranty. I had to ask 3 times before they would give me a timeline for their labor warranty. This is how they treat a customer who spent $8000 with them on two different major repairs over the last couple years. If they don't want to provide any customer service or talk to customers they should close their business. Google makes you give at least one star, otherwise I would have given zero stars. Do not use Mobile Marine Services, owned by Chris and Vicki Rahn, in Independence MN.

I wanted to switch winterization and storage for our boat and was hesitant to switch to Mobile Marine based on a couple 1 star reviews. I'm glad I did make the switch to Mobile Marine. I have only used them for a couple years, but they were very helpful. They get very busy so email is the best way to communicate with them and they were responsive to my needs. I don't have a trailer for our 30 foot Carver, so it was critical to get appointments set when I wanted to get the boat put in and taken out. This was never an issue, they were always prompt to respond and every time I showed up at the landing they were there. They are meticulous with upkeep of boats and since ours is 36 years old there are a lot of items that you could pour money into. But, they explained it and didn't pressure me, rather made some recommendations. They want you to have a safe problem free boating season.

We have stored our boat at Mobile Marine Services for about 10 years now and never had any communication issues with them. Our boat comes out of storage clean and undamaged, at the time and date agreed upon. I know from previous experience this is not the case with all storage facilities.
