Superior Boat Detailing

David is a true professional as he ensures that his crew is punctual and takes care of your boat is if it is his own. I’ve never seen a boat detailer pay that much attention to small details on the boat. We went with their new ceramic offering which has surpassed our expectations. It’s only been on for a few months, but all components still look better than when the boat was delivered new.

David is an absolute pleasure to work with. The boat needed a lot more work than what he had anticipated from the pictures that I sent him but they were still able to accommodate. I say this because usually going from a simple wax to a complete compound polishing, gelcoat correction and then wax would inevitably mean a reschedule. Nope, David was able to work the time table, and after two days the vessel looked amazing!! I had hopes that it would come out looking a great deal better than where it started, but the work that his crew did exceeded all expectations. If you are looking for a company to maintain your boats appearance and keep your hull speed up, this is the only company in the Tampa Bay Area to even consider IMHO! Keep up the great work David.

I decided to call superior boat detailing because of their ratings and then I booked them to detail my boat because they assured me that they would be able bring my hull on my 4 year old boat back to its former glory. Although I’ve had my boat detailed regularly Since new (2 times a year) there was some minor fading on the tan colored hull. I was assured this would be corrected. Then they spoke about how they go above and beyond all other detailers I felt that even though they were about 30% more than the going rate it would be worth it. I paid $675 for a 27’ bow rider. At the end they did an ok job but not quite as good as I had others do. Even though they promised to clean in all compartments what was inside the compartments were not cleaned (like life vests etc) everything was put back dirty. The cup holder/storage areas by the driver and passenger seats were not even cleaned let alone detailed. My cover was not included or cleaned, the boats trash can went untouched, Several areas of stainless were missed, the stainless sink didn’t even get cleaned, my bilge got no attention even though they said they would and again I was told afterwards that the hull couldn’t be helped even though they told me it would be corrected in order to get the job. see pictures attached of some of the items I found. All in all the work was mediocre and not worth the premium they charge. After they did the work it turns out that a friend of mine used them as well and felt the same way. So an below average job for a premium price. Don’t let their good ratings fool you. Update: the day after I posted this review I got a call from Dave the owner concerned with my experience and the quality of work. He saw from the pictures I posted that items were clearly missed. He was very apologetic and wanted to make it right. He offered to come out a few days later himself and rectify any issues which he did.
