You’ll make memories here. If you’re looking to start your journey in aviation, look no further than Twin Oaks. No other flight school in the PNW has more passionate instructors and owners paired with a great team of mechanics. I’ve had the pleasure of starting my own personal journey in aviation here as a private pilot, and through the mentorship and support of my instructors and fellow pilots, became a flight instructor for the school later on. I’ve seen many great students and pilots come and go, and one thing most can take away is that Twin Oaks preserves that “General Aviation” feeling that is lacking in most flight schools today.

I took a discovery flight with Rachel, and it was an incredible experience! It’s something I never would have tried without her encouragement, and her knowledge and experience made me feel completely at ease from the start. She was a fantastic instructor, and I always felt I was in great hands. I also participated in the 5K event hosted by Twin Oaks Airport a couple of months ago, and that was a wonderful experience as well. The airport has such a welcoming community atmosphere, and the event was very well organized. I highly recommend Rachel as an instructor and highly recommend Twin Oaks Airport to anyone interested in aviation or community events.

I went to Twin Oaks to wrap up my PPL and for all my instrument training. I took both checkrides with Kelly (highly recommend!!). The instructors, owners, and students nurture a welcoming environment and provide a lot of support. Their aircraft are well-maintained (and their RV-12s are a blast to fly). I never felt unsafe or like I couldn't ask a question, and their maintenance logs were transparent and easily accessible. Out of all airports I've visited and trained out of, 7S3 is easily my favorite and I hope to make it down for a pancake breakfast sometime!

A great place to not only get excellent training, but also to find lifelong friends! Being at Twin Oaks got me involved with the aviation community in a way that will forever change my life for the best. Nothing but great things to say about such a respectable, family-owned business serving the community since 1972.

While searching for flight schools, I came across 7S3 and knew it was the right fit immediately . Bob and Betty Stark made this place into a true gem, hidden here locally. Emily and Kelly now operate the school and are taking it to the next level, as well as keeping the business family owned. They’ve really kept the “mom and pops” feel to the school. They’ve built a great community here and the summer sunset flights here are second to none. The instructors go above and beyond to help you achieve your goals, and being a Part 61, I’ve seen some folks get their ratings lighting fast. Shout out to the all the instructors! Special shout out to the maintenance crew who keep the planes running and Matt Nikoles, CFII who made my IFR training the most fun one yet. I look forward to finishing all my ratings here.
