Classic Car Wash

My family and I have been using classic car wash for many years. I recently moved back into town after going away for college and was excited to have my car cleaned there once more. I paid for the premium wash and added ceramic wax, about $53. They were definitely fast but my car was just as filthy after as it was before. The vacuuming was absolutely terrible, it honestly looked like they maybe did a 30 second pass. The outside of the car was also still very dirty, however the car was very dirty to begin with so I was more forgiving there. Later in the day, I noticed a scratch on the inside of my windshield. I rubbed it with my fingernail and it definitely felt like a scratch. Our best guess is someone with a wedding ring wiping the dashboard? We returned to the car wash, same day, waited about 5-7 minutes for the manager to come out and take a look. It was the most abrupt unprofessional interaction. He barely said 3 words to us, scrubbed on the windshield with his damp rag and told us it was just sticker residue. He didn't bother hearing any other concerns or even hear the entire story. I was really shocked and even more disappointed. Whatever he polished the windshield with "removed" the scratch. Maybe I was wrong and it wasn't a scratch, that would be awesome. Or he just placed some polish there to fill it with his rag, time will tell. One thing is for certain, he was not at all attempting to obtain any customer retention. I will not be returning to classic car wash. I have told all of my family, who will also not be returning. I will continue to tell as many people as I can so this lack of professionalism and generally terrible work can be addressed by the owner. I paid $3 at a self service carwash and vacuumed my car 100% better than their $53 service, that is very sad. There are many reviews echoing mine in the last few months, the business needs to re-evaluate their priorities and how they want to be known in the community.

Sometimes they do an ok job, sometimes they do a poor job, but no matter what you’re paying $50 if you want floor mats washed. Unfortunately the thing they value most is their very special relic - the massage chair. Made only for the rear of the highest Gods, don’t even think about sitting on this throne on a 90 degree day if you wish to wait inside. If you are not going to put $1 in for the massage function, you will be rudely asked to not sit there, something I saw happen 3 times as my car took its 30 minute bath. Admittedly - this policy is understandable if there is a line or even a small hint of someone wanting to hop on this $1/minute cash cow, but when you only provide one other chair for indoor seating for others paying $50/wash, I think you have lost the plot. That being said, I look forward to the day that chair ends up in the Smithsonian and I can tell my grandchildren that I was once removed from it so the pleather would never crack.

The guys are nice, work as fast as they can and do the best they can, but it’s just not worth the cost for the finished result. I had to spray and wipe down lots of missed spots all around my vehicle after I got home. I typically go to a different car wash that will do a hand wash followed by a drive through touchless machine wash for about 35% less cost, and that gives a much better result. Interior was well done, but my car interior wasn’t in need of much anyway.
