The folks in the FBO are great… the ramp personnel… well, not so much, at least if you’re showing up in a single engine prop. I called them ahead of arrival. When I got there, 2 linemen were on the ramp. One in front of a jet who frantically waved me off down the ramp to another lineman with his back to me who finally realized I was there, and just pointed to the tiedowns, (that are the city tiedowns), and walked away. After I shut down, I wished I’d just taxied over to the other FBO. I couldn’t imagine the experience could be worse. To add insult to injury, on departure I ordered 20 gallons of the most expensive avgas I’ve ever purchased & the lineman drug the hose across the leading edge of the wing over my brand new paint job. Lesson learned… no more Crownair for me.

If you’re looking for a unique venue for any size event this is the spot. 2 Large hangers for thousand + or an indoor space for a dozen people. Very accommodating & friendly staff.

We recently had the experience of participating in an event here, and I have to say, every aspect of working with the Hangars by Crown Air Aviation was seamless professionalism. The space, which is already impressive in a way that other spaces couldn't be because of the planes and helicopters, was transformed into stunning luxury by their list of vetted industry event specialists. Anyone on their list is - GOLD standard. From the draping by 7 Element Design, to food by Chef Joann, this is the stuff of dreams. Truly unforgettable!

Stopped by Crownair Aviation on a recent trip easily one of the best FBOs I’ve experienced in California. The service was smooth, the team was welcoming, and everything ran like clockwork. Shoutout to Ameer on the line for being super professional and on top of everything. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in San Diego.

Pleasant staff. Comfy lounge chairs. Good wi-fi. Waiting an hour for our ride to arrive was not bad at all.
