Roy really made sure I was taken care of. I was in a huge bind—I was supposed to take my boat to Lake Powell the next day, and my previous mechanic unfortunately wasn’t able to fix the issue. Roy took the time to walk me through everything that needed to be done, answered all of my questions, and made sure the repairs were done right. I know I got incredibly lucky because it’s very rare for a shop to squeeze in that much work on such short notice, but he went above and beyond to make it happen. The service was honest, thorough, and I left feeling confident that my boat was actually fixed. I’ll definitely be bringing my boat back to Roy and Hansen Motor and Marine for any future service. Highly recommend!

These guys are great. They're the only boat shop that will work on older boats. They're very busy, so you need to get your reservations in early. But they're always on time and great to work with. Especially Roy.

I bought an alternator from them and it never worked. I thought it was my wiring, but I verified with a shop/the Internet and the alternator never worked properly. I called them and let them know and was offered nothing. OK no problem. After that I gave them another chance and bought a starter, after 10 hours of using it I heard the “clicking” noise. It would give me about five clicks and then start to turn over. So again, I thought it was the wiring so I double checked all that and it was not the problem and then eventually it stopped turning over altogether and it was just all . I called and spoke to the owner Roy and gave him an opportunity to make it right with a refund and he refused to. He offered to have me bring it in and swap it out, but I did not feel comfortable buying parts of them seeing as the last two parts failed and when you’re on a boat in the middle of nowhere on a boat a failing part is very bad! I would not recommend them. I would definitely go to a different shop or generator exchange for a starter or alternator.

The best place to fix props! Nicked one on a trailer and they hammered it out, welded a bit on and balanced it. Runs like a brand new prop. Saved me hundreds..no joke.

Drove all the way from SW Idaho because I heard how great these guys are and I am so glad I did. They did quite a bit of work to my 1989 Sun Runner 280 Classic and everything has performed flawlessly. They got it right the first time, in a timely manner. I have done business with quite a few boat shops over the years and these guys are the best hands down. I highly recommend them to anyone that is in need of boat repair.
