Connected with Larry's Marine originally on suggestion from a friend. I had an issue with a gear lube oil leaking the more well known marina I had always worked with was being less than helpful. But once I called Larry, he took care of the issue right away. I decided to switch over for winterizing and storage. He also found a problem that previous folks had completely missed and got that fixed as well. What I like is that his first instinct is not to charge you money for a service you may not need but give you an idea as to how to look into yourself. Lots of other comments about honesty and integrity already posted and I agree 100%.

I had a very disappointing experience with Larry’s Marine Service. I brought one boat in for a skeg repair and was told it would cost around $400 to $500. Later I was told it would be $1,200, and then the price changed again to $700. I also brought in another boat because I specifically told them it needed a new oil tank. Instead of replacing it, they diagnosed it as a fuel issue and said the tank was dirty because the boat had been sitting for a long time. However, they did not actually check the fuel tank — they only checked the fuel lines and came to that conclusion. They recommended flushing the entire tank for $1,400 and charged me $300 for the diagnosis. I replaced the oil tank myself, and the boat has run great ever since. In my experience, there was a lack of thorough troubleshooting and poor common sense in diagnosing the issue. I would not recommend Larry’s Marine Service based on my experience. Absolutely terrible find a different shop he will just steal your money.

Quick turn. Great communication. Love he sent a video via text of his findings and what was done. Guy knows his stuff, and knows my specific engine, which is great. Hard to find someone to work on vintage engines these days.

Larry's Marine is simply the best boat repair shop there is. Always fast, reliable, and honest service. I am so thankful to have found Larry, he's just what my beat up old boat needs. I appreciate all of you there!

We are new to boating and had recently purchased a boat/motor used. Larry and team were able to help diagnose a vacuum pump issue as well as provide useful feedback and resources for materials in the surrounding area. They seem to genuinely care about your boating experience and help to ensure that you're informed about your boat and motor and provide updates along the way. Would recommend for any inexperienced (or experienced) boaters!
