Did a little research and ended up here at Lone Star Fiberglass. My Donzi was tore up pretty bad from a wicked storm. After a handful of conversations with shop owner, I felt pretty comfortable leaving my ship. A few more conversations and I decided to re-gel coat both sides minus the stern, patch dozens of previous screw holes, secure & strengthen the Bimini top, re-floor, and re-upholster the entire boat. Farrell handled the fiberglass and gel coat along with coordinating two other companies to upholster and re-floor my Donzi. Took some patience on my end, but overall I’m happy with the excellent outcome of every aspect of the build. Highly recommended!! Earned a lifetime of business from me. Thank you!

Outstanding work! I have a 1989 Malibu Skier that had bad stringers. Something these boats are fairly well known for. The repair is an extensive, time-consuming job. I could not find anybody in the Austin area that wanted to do the work. I came across Lonestar Fiberglass and Gel Coat and contacted Farrell Hill, the owner. He told me they could do the work and to bring the boat to him. They pulled the carpet, pulled the motor, pulled up the flooring and placed the rotted wood stringers with composite stringers. Then a new floor was glassed in, new carpet, and the motor was reinstalled. I was kept current of all the work photos. And I am very pleased with the final product. Now the boat will last another 35 years. If you have fiberglass issues, this is your spot. I would not hesitate to do business with these guys.

Just awesome! Although the visit stems from damage on my boat. From the moment I stopped in and met Andrew to discuss what happened and then bringing it in. Ferrell and the team turned my mistake into a quick memory. Andrews work on the unit was unparalleled and completely made it seem to never have happened. I recommend these guys to anyone looking to make fiberglass magic happen! They are fair, transparent and actually care. Thanks you guys!

I just want to take this opportunity to express many thanks and appreciation for Mr Farrell and his crew. Every dollar was well spent. I would recommend anyone that expects top notch quality service to Lone Star fiberglass for gel coat refinishing. The Salty Hooker is back!!

I am always a little suspicious of any boat repair operation, as the marine industry seems full of individuals who either don't know what they are doing or, more often, no longer care about the quality of their work. I reached out to Farrell on the advice of my boat detailer, who noted massive scratches and keel damage on a recently purchased boat. Turns out the bunks broke and trashed the fiberglass and gelcoat. Dropped off a Lone Star Fiberglass, and 2 weeks later got the boat back looking like it rolled off the showroom floor. Given the extent of damage and finish result, the pricing was more than fair. Farrell also recommended a quality trailer repair company that fixed and improved the trailer bunks in less than one day. While I hope I do not need to swing by Lonestar Fiberglass anytime soon, this will be the only place I stop or recommend for fiberglass and gelcoat repairs.
