James rebuilt my Volvo Penta upper gearbox and fixed my "shifting into forward" problem that had been getting progressively worse over the past two years. Finding someone to work on older motors/outdrives is difficult in Billings and I had not been to Montana Boatworx before. He kept me updated on the progress of the repair and the bill came in under what I had been prepared for. The job was completed in a timely manner. I'm very happy with the work he did for me.

Had a yearly service done on my boat and wouldn’t run afterwards. James worked on it for 3 more days and couldn’t figure it out. I took it to another place and they found that the fuel filter was put in upside down. Motor wasn’t getting fuel. James had installed upside down. He was rude and never once gave me an update. If you want your boat fixed or serviced right? Don’t take it to this clown. He says he has 30 years experience. Terrible mechanic and a jerk to deal with. Highly recommend someone else if you want it done right. Big Sky Boats did mine right.
