My steering shaft on my boat every year needed alittle cleaning to get it nice and smooth. This year was seized and I’ve been at it for weeks. Kenny, over at Snohomish. Marine, told me to stop by in the morning and he could see if he could help me. Took him maybe 20 minutes and my misery was gone. He’s a hell of a mechanic. And I won’t take my boat anywhere else. I was getting detailed pictures of the service, and when they came across an issue I was called and emailed pictures of the issues, so I was not left in the dark when it came to paying the bill. Boating is a new passion, and unfortunately after owning my first boat, a 1992 Carver Aft Cabin for close to a year, the starboard engine, a Volvo Penta 501b, went out. After calling several shops starting in Lake Union, then ranging up to Everett, I came across Steve & Kenny who (1) both got on the phone with me to discuss the issue, (2) followed up with a quote the same day, and (3) worked with me with flexibility to get my boat up there from Lake Union. While other shops turned away the job due to its difficulty or offered to do it but weren't as reassuring, I found Steve and Kenny to be the real deal. Throughout the exchange, Steve provided clear updates which at times included photos, and made sure I was comfortable with the process/changes through its entirety. They answered my "explain like I'm age 5" questions, and made it an easy decision to team up with them to get back on the water. Less than a month after getting my boat up there, I now have her back. Kenny provided a walkthrough of all of the work, things to look out for, and they've been openly communicating since with any follow-up questions i've had. The team here has easily created a repeat customer, and I couldn't be more excited to know I have the support like this for all of my future boating needs.
