I visited Tom Wood Aviation to complete a test. Staff was extremely helpful with the process. After the exam she explained further instructions to me. Overall I was very pleased with my visit.

My grandson has been inquiring about airplanes for quite some time, and after his swim lessons, I made a stop at the local airport where individuals learn to fly. The gentleman was kind enough to take him to sit in one of the smaller planes, and he was ecstatic, stating that it was a little plane, indicating his readiness to sit on a bigger airplane. I will leave that decision up to his parents. But I just want to thank the gentleman who took the time to allow my grandson this experience. Thank you once again.

Given the high number of students assigned to each instructor, it becomes challenging for them to effectively monitor individual progress. This situation can lead to prolonged timelines in completing the program. Which requires you to spend more money than you would prefer and possibly going past your die line. Request a print off of the syllabus for what certification you are wanting to receive. If they try to verbally tell you, request once again a print off of the syllabus. With a physical copy of the syllabus, will help you gain confidence or lose confidence in your instructor in the process of getting you through the program. Remember they are trying to get their hours too, with that some students have been take advantage of. To enhance the learning experience, it would be beneficial for instructors to maintain a dedicated folder or file for each student. At the conclusion of each month, instructors should review and discuss the progress of their students to ensure a more personalized and effective training process.
